Domestic material consumption per capita

<p>The indicator is defined as the total amount of material directly used in an economy and equals direct material input (DMI) minus exports. DMI measures the direct input of materials for the use in the economy. DMI equals domestic extraction (DE) plus imports. For the ‘per capita’ calculation of the indicator the average population is used (the arithmetic mean of the population on 1st January of two consecutive years).</p><p>Domestic Material Consumption (DMC) is based on the Economy-wide Material Flow Accounts (EW-MFA). The theory of Economy-wide material flow accounts includes compilations of the overall material inputs into national economy, the changes of material stock within the economy and the material outputs to other economies or to the environment. EW-MFA covers all solid, gaseous, and liquid materials, except water and air. Water included in products is included.</p>

本指标定义为经济体中直接使用的物质总规模，等于直接物质投入（Direct Material Input, DMI）减去出口总额。直接物质投入（DMI）用于衡量经济体生产使用的直接物质输入量，其数值等于国内开采量（Domestic Extraction, DE）加上进口总额。在计算该指标的人均值时，采用平均人口数（即连续两个年份1月1日人口数的算术平均值）。
国内物质消费（Domestic Material Consumption, DMC）的数据基于经济范围物质流量账户（Economy-wide Material Flow Accounts, EW-MFA）编制。经济范围物质流量账户的核算框架涵盖投入国民经济的全部物质输入、经济体内部物质存量变化，以及向其他经济体或环境排放的物质输出。经济范围物质流量账户覆盖除水和空气之外的所有固态、气态及液态物质，产品中包含的水分则纳入核算范围。
