Microbial eukaryotes in the South China Sea

18S rDNA and rRNA V9 tag sequences include samples from discrete depths (from surface down to bathyal depths) of the South China Sea water columns. Using the ratios of rcDNA (reverse transcribed from total RNA) to rRNA gene sequences, the relative metabolic activity of major protistan taxonomic groups at the depth gradients were studied.

本数据集包含18S核糖体DNA（18S rDNA）与核糖体RNA（rRNA）V9区标签序列，样本取自南海水柱的不同深度（从表层至半深海深度）。本研究以反转录DNA（rcDNA，reverse transcribed from total RNA）与核糖体RNA基因序列的比值为指标，对不同深度梯度下主要原生生物分类类群的相对代谢活性展开了研究。
