Dataset: Interactions illicit drugs-antiretroviral therapy in people living with HIV in Spain

This study analyzes the prevalence and severity of drug-drug interactions (DDIs) between antiretroviral therapy (ART) and recreational drugs among people living with HIV(PLHIV). It also explores their awareness of potential DDIs and their beliefs about the toxicity that they may cause, as well as the impact of DDIs on selected health variables. We conducted an on-line cross-sectional survey was conducted across 33 Spanish hospitals with the aim to collect data on demographics; health status; drug use; ART; awareness of DDIs and beliefs and behaviors about the toxicity resulting from such DDIs; treatment adherence; health-related quality of life; and visits to different health centers. DDIs were checked against the Interaction Checker developed by the Liverpool University.It is on Excel format. The file contains three sheets:Sheet . It contains the dataset. The first row of the table corresponds to variable names.Sheet . It contains a description of each variable. Sheet . It contains the labels of the values in the dataset, for each categorical codified variable. Variables not listed in this sheet are numeric, meaning that the numbers on those variables are the real values of the variables, and not a code.本研究针对人类免疫缺陷病毒感染者（People Living with HIV，PLHIV）所接受的抗反转录病毒治疗（Antiretroviral Therapy，ART）与娱乐性药物之间的药物相互作用（Drug-Drug Interactions，DDIs）的流行率与严重程度展开分析。同时探讨该人群对潜在药物相互作用的认知水平、对其可能引发毒性的认知态度，以及药物相互作用对选定健康变量的影响。本研究通过线上横断面调查，在33家西班牙医院范围内采集数据，采集内容涵盖人口统计学特征、健康状况、药物使用情况、抗反转录病毒治疗情况、药物相互作用认知水平、相关毒性认知与行为、治疗依从性、健康相关生活质量，以及不同医疗中心就诊情况。本研究采用利物浦大学开发的药物相互作用核查工具（Interaction Checker）开展药物相互作用判定。本数据集采用Excel格式存储，包含三个工作表：第一个工作表存储原始数据集，表格首行对应变量名称；第二个工作表包含各变量的详细说明；第三个工作表针对每个分类编码变量，提供数据集中各取值对应的标签说明。未在该工作表中列明的变量均为数值型变量，即此类变量的数值为变量的真实取值，而非编码代号。
