To understand the altered gene expression in galR minus cells, the cells were grown in the absence of D-galactose and tiling array analysis was performed for transcriptome profiling. Overall design: Total RNAs were isolated from Escherichia coli galR minus strain grown in the absence of D-galactose. The transcriptome profile of galR minus cells was figured out in relation to wild type.为探究galR缺失（galR minus）细胞中发生改变的基因表达模式，研究人员在不含D-半乳糖的培养条件下培养细胞，并通过镶嵌式基因芯片（tiling array）分析开展转录组图谱分析。 实验设计概述：从经不含D-半乳糖培养基培养的大肠杆菌（Escherichia coli）galR缺失菌株中提取总RNA，并以野生型（wild type）菌株为参照，解析galR缺失细胞的转录组特征。
