Caption: Examples of nitrogen content pre- and post-exsolution in a C2H6 +N2 (left panel) and 0.95 C2H6 – 0.05 C3H8 +N2 (right panel) sample, as detected in the Raman spectra. While the spectra of the C2H6 +N2 system indicate an absence of nitrogen in the ice formed at 88 K, the C2H6–C3H8 +N2 system retained some amount of nitrogen at 84 K after freezing. This is likely due to the presence of volatile-rich bubbles trapped in the icy matrix.Excel spreadsheet contains four normalized spectra (two C2H6 +N2 and two C2H6–C3H8 +N2) ranging 2300–3000 cm-1.
