Resourcing community-led disaster resilience at scale: The case and model for long-term investment

We present the case and a model for investment in communities to set a new trajectory for the lives of the millions of Australians affected by disaster and other major crises. It is a position paper, a manifesto for a new approach, based on the learnings from five years of participatory grantmaking and other resilience strengthening work in disaster-affected communities, and the immense wealth of knowledge that those communities, practitioners, government stakeholders and agents of change have brought to this endeavour.
