Two-station Seismic Noise and Signal Site Survey in Uzbekistan

The primary goal of this simple deployment is to obtain recordings from two sites in the Republic of Uzbekistan of ground motion in the absence of earthquakes, and of waveforms from earthquakes occurring at all distances (local to teleseismic) and from a wide range of back azimuths. This information will allow the characterization of the ambient and anthropogenic seismic noise environments and the estimation of signal-to-noise ratios to assist in the choice and subsequent establishment of a permanent IRIS-IDA (II) station of the Global Seismograph Network (GSN) at one of the sites.

本次简易台站布设的核心目标为：采集乌兹别克斯坦共和国境内两个测点的无震地面运动记录，以及覆盖全震中距范围（从近场地震至远震）、涵盖各类反向方位角的地震波形数据。所获数据可用于表征环境与人为地震噪声背景，并估算信噪比，从而辅助选定其中一处测点，并后续在此搭建隶属于全球地震台网（Global Seismograph Network，GSN）的永久IRIS-IDA（II）台站。
