The dataset includes seven folders: (1) Litter decomposition rate_RF: estimations of litter decomposition rates (K) with 718 field observations using Random Forest (RF) algorithm across Chinese forest ecosystems (2) Litter carbon productivity: derived from Zhao, X., Tang, X., Du, J., et al., 2022. A data-driven estimate of litterfall and forest carbon turnover and the drivers of their inter-annual variabilities in forest ecosystems across China. Science of the Total Environment, 821(2022), 1-10.(3) Litter carbon release: derived from Litter decomposition rate and Litter carbon productivity, see 2.5 in main text(4) Net litter carbon sink: derived from Litter carbon productivity and release, see 2.5 in main text(5) Water availability data: corresponding to Materials 2.2 in main text; (6) Dominant drivers data: corresponding to Materials 2.6 in main text; (7) Data_for_Results, including statistical results for 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.5 in main text;

本数据集包含7个文件夹:(1) 凋落物分解速率_RF:基于中国森林生态系统的718组野外观测数据,采用随机森林(Random Forest, RF)算法估算得到的凋落物分解速率(K值)结果;(2) 凋落物碳生产力:数据源自Zhao X、Tang X、Du J等学者2022年发表于《Science of the Total Environment》(总环境科学)的研究《中国森林生态系统凋落物输入、森林碳周转及其年际变异驱动因子的数据驱动估算》,该刊2022年第821卷,页码1-10;(3) 凋落物碳释放量:由凋落物分解速率与凋落物碳生产力推导得到,详见正文2.5节;(4) 凋落物碳净汇:由凋落物碳生产力与碳释放量推导得到,详见正文2.5节;(5) 水分有效性数据:对应正文材料与方法2.2节;(6) 主控因子数据:对应正文材料与方法2.6节;(7) 结果相关数据集:包含正文3.1、3.2、3.3及3.5节的统计分析结果。
