Lake Koocanusa Foreshore Inventory Mapping Open 2016

This dataset contains the openly accessible data for the FIMP survey carried out in Lake Koocanusa in 2016. Lake Koocanusa is a reservoir formed by the completion of the Libby Dam in Montana in 1973. This transboundary reservoir extends 140 km between Wardner, BC and Libby, Montana. This study focuses on the Canadian portion of the lake. The East Kootenay Integrated Lake Management Partnership (EKILMP) commissioned VAST Resource Solutions Inc. (VAST) to complete this project. The purpose of this Sensitive Habitat Inventory and Mapping (SHIM) project for Lake Koocanusa is to provide baseline information on foreshore condition and environmental values to aid in future decision- making.
