Supporting the planning of selected aspects of a dental caries prevention program using simulation modeling

The data was produced as a result of research conducted under the grant (2021/41/N/HS4/03282).The purpose of the survey was to increase knowledge of the problem of dental caries in children and to get doctors' opinions on various aspects related to the disease. The survey was conducted stationary and online among 24 doctors with between one and 37 years of professional experience.The purpose of the simulation study was to explore the feasibility of using a simulation model to test various scenarios for dental caries prevention programs dedicated to students in primary schools. The simulation experiments made it possible to answer the question of with what configuration of selected preventive interventions, and with what workload of medical personnel, the expected effects of reducing the incidence of dental caries disease in students could be achieved.
