Histology of Emydocephalus annulatus skin

Interactive digital slides of histology serial sections (7 - 10 um) of skin taken from turtle-headed sea snakes (Emydocephalus annulatus). Slides were stained with either Gomori's one-step trichrome, Hematoxylin-eosin and/or Bielschowsky silver. The following specimens were examined:80559 from Noumea, New Caledonia, Male, upper rostral part of the head. 72446 from Noumea, New Caledonia, Female, left side of head84442 from Noumea, New Caledonia, Male, genial scale, whole head cut longways, anal scale, mid-caudal scale. WAMR129824 from Ashmore Reef, Australia, Male, anal scale, genial scale and rostrum scale.本数据集包含龟头海蛇（Emydocephalus annulatus）皮肤的组织学连续切片（厚度7~10微米）的交互式数字玻片。所有玻片均采用戈莫里一步三色染色法、苏木精-伊红染色法或（和）毕夏夫斯基银染法进行染色。本次检测的标本如下：标本编号80559：采自新喀里多尼亚努美阿，雄性，头部吻部上段；标本编号72446：采自新喀里多尼亚努美阿，雌性，头部左侧区域；标本编号84442：采自新喀里多尼亚努美阿，雄性，含颏鳞、纵切全头标本、肛鳞及尾中段鳞片；标本编号WAMR129824：采自澳大利亚阿什莫尔礁，雄性，含肛鳞、颏鳞及吻鳞。
