The goal of this study was to assess a population of sirens in South Texas, utilizing mtDNA sequencing for species identification. Sequencing was conducted for a Siren lacertina individual for mtDNA sequence comparison within the study.本研究旨在评估南德克萨斯州的鳗螈（Sirens）种群，采用线粒体DNA（mtDNA）测序技术开展物种鉴定。研究期间还对1头大鳗螈（Siren lacertina）个体进行了测序，用于本研究内的线粒体DNA序列比对分析。
