Symbiobacterium toebii SC-1. This symbiotic and thermophilic bacterium was isolated from hay compost in Korea. Cultured growth of this strain requires the presence of Geobacillus, which provides diffusable metabolites required for its growth. This organism will be used for comparative genomics.
