It is known that lamin binds to chromatin to form Lamin-associated Domains (LADs) to control the three-dimensional structure of chromatin. We found that loss of PIGB which is one of lamin binding protein in Drosophila, leads to heterogeneous distribution of B-type lamin which normally localizes uniformly under the nuclear envelope. The purpose of this study is to clarify whether the LADs in PIGB mutant are changed or not.
已知核纤层蛋白(lamin)可结合染色质并形成核纤层结合结构域(Lamin-associated Domains, LADs),以此调控染色质的三维空间结构。本研究发现,果蝇中作为核纤层结合蛋白之一的PIGB发生缺失后,原本均匀定位于核被膜内侧的B型核纤层蛋白(B-type lamin)会出现异质性分布。本研究旨在阐明PIGB突变体中的LADs是否发生改变。
