Image Dataset of Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) or Halyomorpha Halys (HH)

The dataset contains images of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) or Halyomorpha Halys (HH). The images were captured using an IoT device deployed in an orchard infested with the target insect in Italy during the growing season of 2024. The dataset includes three folders as follows: A) Images: This contains the original images in JPEG format from the sticky traps surface that might include the HH as well as other insects. B) Annotations: This folder contains the annotations related to the HH in the images. These annotations are provided in two different formats, each associated with a file in the Images folder. These two annotations are as follows: 1) Masks: This folder contains binary images highlighted the HH in the original images. Pixels belonging to HH insects were set to white, while the rest were set to black. 2) HH_Polygons: This folder contains JSON files with polygon-based annotations indicating the locations of HHs in the corresponding images.
