GRID3 Sierra Leone Settlement Extents, Version 01

NOTE: This version of the Sierra Leone settlement extents has been superseded by "GRID3 Sierra Leone Settlement Extents, Version 01.01", now available here: https://doi.org/10.7916/d8-26xs-7532 The dataset consists of settlement extents across Sierra Leone, as well as accompanying population estimates for each settlement extent. This data product contains all information contained in the previous GRID3 Sierra Leone Settlement Extents, Version 01 Alpha product, with updates. Updates in this version include: a single settlement extent feature class (Alpha contained the same data in three (3) separate feature class layers: BUAs, SSAs & Hamlets), and new population estimate fields ("Population" and "Pop_UN_adj") for each settlement extent. **The population estimate was updated on October 1, 2021 using a high resolution population estimate produced by GRID3.** This work has been undertaken as part of the Geo-Referenced Infrastructure and Demographic Data for Development (GRID3) programme. GRID3 works with countries to generate, validate and use geospatial data on population, settlements, infrastructure, and subnational boundaries. 本数据集涵盖塞拉利昂全境的居民点范围数据，以及各居民点对应的人口估算值。

本数据产品包含此前GRID3 塞拉利昂居民点范围 版本01 Alpha版的全部信息，并在此基础上进行了更新。本版更新内容如下：
1. 统一的居民点范围要素类（Alpha版曾将相同数据拆分为建成区（Built-up Areas, BUA）、小型居民点区域（Small Settlement Areas, SSA）及村落（Hamlets）三个独立要素类图层）；
2. 为每个居民点范围新增了"Population"与"Pop_UN_adj"两个人口估算字段。

**2021年10月1日，本数据集基于GRID3生成的高分辨率人口估算结果完成了人口估算值的更新。**
