VPRS 18646 Burial Orders

This series comprises of burial order books for deceased persons at Wunghnu Cemetery (VA 5236). Each entry contains the following information:- denomination of burial- name of the deceased- last residence of the deceased- rank or business of the deceased- age of deceased- from what parish deceased was brought- minister to officiate at burial- date and hour of funeral- number of grave on plan and section number- depth of grave and other dimensions- whether first or second burial in this grave- nature of disease or cause of death- signatures, names and dates for placing of orderResearchers should be aware there is a gap between volume one which ends in 1919 and volume 2 which commences in 1962. The whereabouts of this missing volume are unknown to PROV and the agency at the time of transfer in August 2018.
