PERSEUS FVS engine evidence: stand-paired growth-by-mortality matrix and Bakuzis biological-realism assessment for the CONUS multi-model forest carbon comparison
收藏资源简介:
Evidence package supporting the production FVS engine decision (recalibrated species-dependent growth with density-dependent gompit mortality, b2_gompit) for the PERSEUS Forest Intelligence CONUS multi-model carbon comparison. Contains two reproducible analyses run on OSC Cardinal: (1) a within-stand paired growth-by-mortality 2x2 on the 323,805 stands common to all four arms (b1/b2 growth x native/gompit mortality), showing native-to-gompit terminal basal area reductions of 53 percent (b1) and 46 percent (b2) with convergent gompit endpoints; and (2) a Bakuzis law-like-relationship assessment across a SITE_INDEX productivity gradient (335,321 stands), which falsifies native species-free growth on the self-thinning law (Reineke frontier slope -0.886 versus -1.605) and shows both gompit arms recover near-law slopes and a defensible density ceiling. Includes R scripts (data.table, headless), result tables, and figures. Eichhorn (volume versus height) is reported as untestable because stand height is not emitted. Analyses executed under SLURM on OSC Cardinal; seed 20260629.
