WGS of Escherichia coli isolated from healthy domestic ruminants in cefotaxime-containing media

As part of a study designed to estimate the prevalence of several food-borne pathogens in healthy domestic ruminant herds (cattle and sheep) in Northern Spain, the genome of 66 isolates of Escherichia coli isolated in cefotaxime-containing media was sequenced using Illumina NovaSeq6000. Sequence data will be used for a complete characterization of the isolates (antimicrobial resistance genetic determinants, virulence genes, plasmid replicons, strain typing, phylogeny, etc).

本数据集为一项旨在评估西班牙北部健康家养反刍动物种群（牛与绵羊）中数种食源性致病菌流行率的研究的组成部分。研究人员从含头孢噻肟的培养基中分离得到66株大肠埃希氏菌（Escherichia coli），并采用Illumina NovaSeq6000测序平台对其基因组完成测序。所得序列数据将用于对这些分离株开展全面表征分析，涵盖抗菌耐药性遗传决定因子、毒力基因、质粒复制子、菌株分型、系统发育分析等内容。
