Land evapotranspiration (ET) serves as a critical link in global surface energy exchange and the water cycle. Spatially and temporally continuous ET estimation is of great importance for relevant research. This dataset estimates global daily terrestrial evapotranspiration using an improved ecohydrological model (SiTHv2). The driving datasets mainly include: 1) Net radiation; 2) Air temperature; 3) Precipitation; 4) Air pressure; 5) Leaf area index; 6) Land cover type. Following validation and cross-comparison at the site scale (RMSE=0.66 mm/day), watershed scale (RMSE=97.75 mm/year), and global scale, the global ET estimates derived from this dataset exhibit reliable performance. This will offer essential data support for research in ecohydrology-related fields, including land-atmosphere interaction processes, ecosystem water consumption, extreme climate events, and water resources management.
