煤炭是最重要的化石能源之一,正在确保全球能源安全。年最大 NDVI 数据是平衡采煤和植被保护研究的重要指标。然而,现有的年度最大 NDVI 数据显示的值较低,时间不一致,并且有明显的马赛克线。在这里,我们提出了一种在 Google Earth Engine 中自动生成中国煤基地年最大 NDVI 的算法,称为:Auto-NDVICB系列.自动 NDVI 的准确性CB系列算法已验证,2013 年至 2022 年 14 个煤基的平均 RMSE 为 0.087。基于拟议的自动 NDVICB系列算法,公开发布了 2013 年至 2022 年中国所有 14 个煤炭基地的年度最大 NDVI 数据集。此数据集可以快速且自动联机更新。因此,公共数据集将持续用于监测煤矿开采引起的植被变化,探索植被退化的机制,为制定煤矿植被保护政策提供科学数据。
Coal is among the most critical fossil fuels underpinning global energy security. Annual maximum NDVI data serves as a key indicator for studies balancing coal mining activities and vegetation conservation. However, existing annual maximum NDVI datasets exhibit low values, inconsistent temporal coverage, and prominent mosaic artifacts. Herein, we propose an algorithm for automatically generating annual maximum NDVI data for China's coal bases within the Google Earth Engine platform, dubbed the Auto-NDVICB series. The accuracy of the Auto-NDVICB series algorithm has been validated, with an average RMSE of 0.087 across the 14 coal bases from 2013 to 2022. Based on the proposed Auto-NDVICB series algorithm, an annual maximum NDVI dataset covering all 14 coal bases in China from 2013 to 2022 has been publicly released. This dataset can be quickly and automatically updated online. As such, this public dataset will continuously be utilized to monitor vegetation changes induced by coal mining, explore the mechanisms of vegetation degradation, and provide scientific data for formulating vegetation conservation policies for coal mines.
