Type 1 lesions: hypointense in T1-weighted sequences and hyperintense in T2-weighted sequences. Type 2 lesions: increased signal on T1 weighted sequences and isointense or slightly hyperintense signal on T2 weighted sequences. Type 3 lesions: hypointense both in T1- and T2-weighted sequences.
