This BAG is a continuation of our previous proposals bringing together three main crystallography groups, UAL, UGR and CSIC. Thse groups agglutinate the crystallography needs of several other teams established through permanent collaborations. It is a continuation of previous BAGs: Mx1406/Mx1541, Mx1629/Mx1739, Mx1830/Mx1938, Mx2064 and Mx 2281(currently running). Our team and collaborators covers a wide range of biotechnological and biomedical topics including: i) the development of ancestral reconstructed enzymes; ii) deciphering the molecular basis for different human pathologies, such as protein miss-folding or protein signalling in innate immunity and inflammation diseases; iii) the determination of the molecular basis governing different biocatalysts of economic significance; iv) the discovery of novel chemotaxis processes exerted by previously unreported bacterial chemoreceptors and v) expansion of protein crystallization and protein crystal-derived methodologies.

本BAG为此前项目的延续,整合了三个主要晶体学研究团队:UAL、UGR与CSIC。上述三个团队承接了多个通过长期合作组建的其他团队的晶体学研究需求。本BAG亦是此前BAG项目的延续,涵盖Mx1406/Mx1541、Mx1629/Mx1739、Mx1830/Mx1938、Mx2064以及当前正在运行的Mx2281。本团队及合作方的研究范畴覆盖广泛的生物技术与生物医学主题,具体包括:i) 祖先重构酶的开发;ii) 解析不同人类疾病的分子机制,例如蛋白质错误折叠,或固有免疫与炎症性疾病中的蛋白质信号传导;iii) 明确具有经济价值的各类生物催化剂的调控分子机制;iv) 发现此前未被报道的细菌化学感受器所介导的新型趋化过程;v) 拓展蛋白质结晶技术及源自蛋白质晶体的研究方法。
