This study investigated the fluid–rock interactions in fault zones in Southwestern Taiwan using locally sourced rock samples from the Chishan and Chegualin faults in autoclave experiments with different synthetic brines designed to simulate the fault fluids along those faults. We believe that our study makes a significant contribution to the literature because fully characterize the mineralogy of the samples before and after reaction with the synthetic brines to gain an understanding of the specific mineralogical and microstructural changes occurring in the fault zone as a result of the fluid–rock interactions, which has important implications for risk mitigation along those fault systems.
本研究针对中国台湾西南部断层带内的流体-岩石相互作用展开探究,实验采用取自旗山(Chishan)断层与车垆林(Chegualin)断层的本地岩样,通过配置不同合成卤水的高压釜实验,模拟上述断层的赋存流体。本研究认为,其成果对相关学术领域具有重要贡献:我们对合成卤水反应前后的岩样矿物学特征开展全面表征,以厘清流体-岩石相互作用引发的断层带内特定矿物学与微观结构变化,这对上述断层系统的风险防控具有重要意义。
