Image data of Nanmaohu Park vascular plant specimen, RL0619

We sampled vascular plants from Ruili Botanical Garden,Yunnan, China. All the samples were collected within the geographical region Longitude 97.646389 to 98.099167, Latitude 23.878333 to 24.155556, altitudes ranging from 740 meters to 1,200 meters above sea level. In total, we collected 1,093 vascular plants, from which we used the young leaves for sequencing, and at the same time the specimens were vouchered. The specimens are maintained at the Herbarium of China National GeneBank (HCNGB).<br>Of these, 761 specimens yielded DNA suitable for sequencing. The other 332 samples are vouchered and images of those plants are available in those datasets. The 761 samples represented 689 vascular plant species from 137 families belonging to 49 different orders.<br>There is an ongoing effort to formally identify all specimens, but at time of publication only a very small number had been identified beyond family level. <br>This dataset contains images from the plant vouchered as not provided. Preliminary identification is that it is of the family uncharacterized vascular plant. <br>Unforuntaly insufficient DNA was extracted from the sample to make suquencing possible at this time.

本研究从中国云南省瑞丽植物园开展维管植物（vascular plant）样本采集工作。所有采样区域的地理范围为东经97.646389°至98.099167°、北纬23.878333°至24.155556°，海拔跨度为740米至1200米（以海平面为高程基准）。本次共计采集1093份维管植物样本，选取每份样本的幼叶用于测序，并同步制作凭证标本。所有凭证标本均保存于国家基因库标本馆（Herbarium of China National GeneBank, HCNGB）。其中760份标本成功提取到符合测序质量要求的基因组DNA。剩余333份样本均已完成凭证标本制作，对应植株的影像资料已收录于本数据集。上述760份样本涵盖了隶属于48个目、135个科的约696种维管植物。目前研究团队仍在推进所有标本的正式分类鉴定工作，但截至论文发表时，仅有极少数标本可鉴定至科以上分类阶元。本数据集包含部分已制作凭证标本但未提供影像的植株影像资料。经初步鉴定，该类植株为科级分类尚未明确的维管植物。遗憾的是，当前该样本提取的DNA量不足，暂无法完成测序。
