The Al-Ti-O system finds uses in industry as a coating, mainly Al2TiO5. However, Al2TiO5 decomposes into its constituent oxides in the intermediate temperature range, before reforming at high temperatures. Here, we propose a combined average structure and total scattering study on Al2TiO5 and two higher order phases, Al6Ti2O13 and Al16Ti5O34, to probe anti-site metal short range order and the influence of oxygen vacancies on phase stability and formation. Further, a variable T in situ study aims to reveal directly the influence of oxygen vacancy mobility on crystallisation in Al2TiO5.
铝-钛-氧(Al-Ti-O)体系在工业中常被用作涂层材料,其主要物相为Al₂TiO₅。然而,Al₂TiO₅在中温区间会分解为其组成氧化物,随后在高温条件下重新形成。本研究针对Al₂TiO₅以及两种高阶相Al₆Ti₂O₁₃和Al₁₆Ti₅O₃₄,提出联合平均结构与全散射的研究方案,以探究金属原子反位短程有序结构,以及氧空位对相稳定性与相形成过程的影响。此外,本研究还将开展变温原位实验,以直接揭示氧空位迁移率对Al₂TiO₅结晶过程的影响。
