This dataset consists of multiple files provided as Excel spreadsheets and a Python script. The primary dataset includes probe-level expression data retrieved from the Allen Human Brain Atlas for eight genes (BDNF, carboxypeptidase E (CPE), sortilin (SORT), huntingtin-associated protein 1 (HAP1), huntingtin (HTT), secretogranin II (SG2), and Arf1), with each row corresponding to an individual microarray probe. This file includes probe identification numbers, mean expression across brain regions, and standard deviation. The second Excel spreadsheet links probe expression data to donor-level metadata and brain region. In addition to the Excel spreadsheets, our dataset also includes a Python script that generates violin plots that allow for the visualization of each probe’s expression pattern across brain regions and across donors.
