Mucin-domain glycoproteins populate the brain endothelial cell surface, but their roles as a class of glycoconjugates are largely unknown. Here, we perform bulk RNA-sequencing of bEnd.3 cells treated with StcE, which enzymatically degrades cell surface mucins, in order to understand the effects of mucin removal on brain endothelial cell function. 粘蛋白结构域糖蛋白(Mucin-domain glycoproteins)富集于脑内皮细胞表面,但作为一类糖缀合物,其整体生物学功能仍鲜为人知。本研究对经StcE处理的bEnd.3细胞进行批量RNA测序(bulk RNA-sequencing),其中StcE可酶促降解细胞表面粘蛋白,旨在明确去除粘蛋白对脑内皮细胞功能的影响。整体实验设计:在生长培养基中,分别用StcE与生理盐水处理bEnd.3细胞,随后对其开展批量RNA测序。
