16S rRNA sequence of BABL/c mice's gut micrbiota

The goals of the study were (1) to analyze the gut microbiota composition obtained from the feces of Py 17XL-infected and uninfected mice separately by targeting the V4 region of the 16S rRNA through the Illumina MiSeq platform and (2) to obtain biomarkers for offering an insight into malaria pathogenesis, antimalarial drugs, and malaria vaccine studies.

本研究设定了两项研究目标：其一，依托Illumina MiSeq测序平台，以16S核糖体RNA（16S rRNA）的V4可变区为靶标，分别分析感染Py 17XL株与未感染小鼠的粪便样本中的肠道微生物组组成；其二，筛选得到可用于解析疟疾发病机制、辅助抗疟药物及疟疾疫苗相关研究的生物标志物。
