Injuries in General Practice in the Australian Capital Territory, 1992

The aim of this study was to provide the first data on the epidemiology of injury presenting to general practice. This data is to complement other data on the incidence of injuries in hospitals, where research in to injury prevalence has been traditionally focused. A primary aim of the research was to describe the incidence and distribution of all injuries presenting for medical attention, in a defined Australian population. The aim of this data was to clarify the role played by General Practitioners in the management of acute injury in the community. The main variables include: the nature of injury, body-part injured, whether admitted to hospital and whether the presentation was the first visit to a doctor for that injury. Background variables include age and sex of injured persons.

本研究旨在首次提供全科医疗就诊创伤的流行病学相关数据。该数据将作为医院创伤发病率相关数据的有益补充——既往创伤患病率研究传统上多聚焦于医院场景。本研究的首要目标是描述澳大利亚特定人群中所有寻求医疗救治的创伤的发病率与分布特征。本数据集旨在明确全科医生（General Practitioner, GP）在社区急性创伤管理中所发挥的作用。主要变量包括：创伤性质、受伤部位、是否住院治疗，以及本次就诊是否为该创伤的首次就医。背景变量包括伤者的年龄与性别。
