<b>Genotype data:</b> The genotype data derived from the KlusterCaller software following KASP genotyping was used as follows: 1. The sample and SNP IDs and genotype calls were extracted from the genotype data and imported into the PowerMarker 3.25 statistical software, following the manufacturer's guidelines, to draw the dendrogram and calculate the genetic distance for the Genetic Identity experiment.<br>2. Genotype data was imported into the SNPviewer Software to visualize the cluster plots for the two QC experiments.<br><b>Supplementary tables:</b> Supplementary tables 1 and 2 show the list of KASP SNPs, including their sequences, used in the study. The list of KASP SNP for Maize is freely available to registered persons at the Integrated Breeding Platform https://integratedbreeding.net/1848/communities/maize/markersgermplasm?snps=1
