资源简介:

Data underlying Tractenberg RE, Groah SL, Newcomb E, Khemmani M, Joyce C, Wolfe AJ, Riegner CR. Variation in urobiome composition over time in asymptomatic individuals with spinal cord injury and disease using intermittent catheterization. PLOS ONE (2026). Adults with neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction due to spinal cord injury or disease, all using intermittent catheterization, each contributed one to four urine samples collected while asymptomatic and at least two weeks apart. Samples were characterized by 16S rRNA gene sequencing, urinalysis, standard urine culture, and the Urinary Symptom Questionnaire for Neuropathic Bladder–Intermittent Catheter version (USQNB-IC). Files - S1_File_participants.csv — one row per participant (n = 92). - S2_File_samples.csv — one row per sequenced sample (n = 224; the 211 analysed are flagged by in_analysis, and exclusion_reason gives the reason for each of the 13 excluded). Includes symptom classification, urinalysis, culture, sequencing depth, urotype, seven alpha diversity indices, and SRA run and BioSample accessions. - S3_File_bray_curtis.csv — one row per computed pair of samples (n = 136), in long format. A pair that could not be computed has no row, so no missing-value code is used. - S4_File_data_dictionary.csv — definition of every variable in the three data files. Raw sequence data are deposited separately in the NCBI Sequence Read Archive under BioProject PRJNA1499220. S2_File_samples.csv maps each sample to its SRA run and BioSample accession. Age, years since diagnosis, etiology and level of injury are reported in aggregate in Table 2 of the paper and are not included here: they are not used in any analysis, and released individually they would uniquely identify most participants in this small single-site cohort. Individual-level demographic data are available from the corresponding author on reasonable request.
