Epidemiological studies suggest a potential link between osteoarthritis (OA) and diabetes mellitus (DM) despite unclear molecular mechanisms.A greater understanding of the mechanisms that link OA and DM is needed to identify therapeutic targets in diabetic individuals who develop OA.In our study, we found 142 genes that are affected by both diseases. PTEN and GATA3 are excellent diagnostic markers for both OA and DM.With increasing glucose levels, PTEN expression increased and GATA3 expression decreased in chondrocytes. The provided data consists of article images that are associated with the original dataset.
