The data from a VPIC simulation of the electron-scale current sheet at a KH vortex for the southward IMF. Simulation is performed using the VPIC code (githab.com/lanl/vpic). This part includes data for the magnetic field (bx, by, bz), the electric field (ez), the electron velocity (uex, uey, uez), the ratio between parallel and perpendicular electron temperature (tepar_teper) and the energy conversion measure J.E' (JEp). Also included is the info file of the simulation. Further we included the orbit-files containing the data structures from the virtual spacecraft orbits set in the simulation. The data structure is as follows: it (time number=timestep/705), i (grid number in x), k (grid number in z), time (in 1/Omega_i~1s for 10nT), x in de, z in de, bx, by, bz, ex, ey, ez, uix, uiy, uiz, uex, uey, uez, pi, pe, ni, ne, e_para, e_perp, JE', Te_para, Te_perp The normalization of the data is the ones for the raw VPIC data.
本数据集源自南向行星际磁场(IMF,Interplanetary Magnetic Field)条件下,凯尔文-亥姆霍兹(KH,Kelvin-Helmholtz)涡旋处电子尺度电流片的VPIC(矢量粒子胞模拟代码,Vector Particle-in-Cell)模拟数据。模拟采用VPIC代码(源码托管地址:github.com/lanl/vpic)完成。本数据集包含磁场分量(bx、by、bz)、电场分量(ez)、电子速度分量(uex、uey、uez)、电子平行温度与垂直温度之比(tepar_teper)以及能量转换度量J·E'(JEp)的相关数据,同时附带该模拟的信息文件。此外还包含由模拟中预设的虚拟航天器轨道生成的数据集结构轨道文件,其数据结构如下:it(时间步编号=总时间步/705)、i(x方向网格编号)、k(z方向网格编号)、time(归一化时间,以1/Ω_i为单位,10nT工况下该单位约对应1秒)、坐标x与z(单位为电子惯性长度d_e),以及bx、by、bz、ex、ey、ez、离子速度分量uix、uiy、uiz、电子速度分量uex、uey、uez、离子压强pi、电子压强pe、离子数密度ni、电子数密度ne、平行电子能量e_para、垂直电子能量e_perp、J·E'、电子平行温度Te_para、电子垂直温度Te_perp。所有数据均沿用原始VPIC模拟数据的归一化标准。
