VPRS 19388 Reports of Nursing Staff to House Committee and Board of Management

This series comprises volumes recording monthly reports from the nursing staff to the House Committee and Board of Management of Prince Henry’s Hospital (previously known as Melbourne Homoeopathic Dispensary 1869-1876; Melbourne Homoeopathic Hospital 1876-1934) (VA 441).  Matters discussed include but are not limited to: successful examination candidates, dieticians’ reports, resignations, visitors and visits to the hospital, appointee recommendations, nurse prize recipients, catering officers’ reports and donations of gifts. The reports were signed by the Matron of the hospital. The title of "Matron" became "Director of Nursing" from June 1975.
