These Python codes are designed for estimating model ages of individual lunar simple craters using topography degradation model. We provide topography data of South Ray crater to facilitate testing the codes. While running a single code to output all predicted formation ages for individual craters may seem straightforward, it can result in excessively long computation times due to the repeated iterative calculations involved (though iteration steps can be manually adjusted). To address this, the dating method has been split into multiple code files, each using different original topographic profiles with depth-to-diameter ratios of 0.218 (mean), 0.193 (shallow), and 0.232 (deep). Although this approach introduces some complexity in the overall structure, it makes each individual code more concise and user-friendly. Additionally, it helps keep the computation times manageable for each code.
