Exploring extensional tectonics beyond the Ethiopian Rift

This project combines a large-aperture GPS network and a large-aperture broadband seismometer array with numerical modeling to characterize the lateral and vertical deformation patterns within the lithosphere surrounding the Main Ethiopian Rift.

本项目将大孔径GPS观测网（large-aperture GPS network）、大孔径宽频带地震计阵列（large-aperture broadband seismometer array）与数值模拟（numerical modeling）技术相结合，以表征埃塞俄比亚主裂谷（Main Ethiopian Rift）周边岩石圈（lithosphere）内部的横向与垂直形变模式。
