Activated eosinophils are a major cell type involved in allergic diseases. IL-5 primarily activates eosinophils and prolongs their survival. However, interactions between these cells and microorganisms, including fungi, are also important for further activation. Aspergillus fumigatus is a common indoor allergen for patients with allergic disorders who are often sensitized to it. The aim of this study is to clarify the role of this fungus as a direct activator of human eosinophils.

活化嗜酸性粒细胞(eosinophils)是参与过敏性疾病进程的核心细胞类群之一。白细胞介素5(Interleukin-5,IL-5)可主要活化嗜酸性粒细胞并延长其存活时长。然而,此类细胞与包括真菌在内的微生物之间的相互作用,对于嗜酸性粒细胞的进一步活化同样具有关键意义。烟曲霉(Aspergillus fumigatus)是过敏性疾病患者常见的室内变应原,此类患者往往对其产生致敏反应。本研究旨在阐明该真菌作为人嗜酸性粒细胞直接活化因子的作用。
