Economics experimental laboratory dataset: Feedback, Punishment and Cooperation in Public Good Experiments

Data obtained from laboratory experiments, Department of Economics, University of Melbourne using volunteers to test economic hypothesises. Data consist of excel spreadsheets plus Instructions to Participants.

Shows that the format used to give subjects feed-back is critical for the efficacy of punishment. Providing subjects with information about the earnings of their peers leads to significantly less cooperation and lower efficacy compared to a treatment in which subjects receive information about the contributions of their peers even though the feedback format does not affect incentives.
