Staphylococcus haemolyticus is emerging cause of nosocomial infections and now is the second most frequently coagulase-negative (CoNS) staphylococci isolated from blood cultures. S. haemolyticus is ranked as the most resistant among CoNS species. The presence of endemic S. haemolyticus hospital clones and spread of resistant clones have been reported. Previous molecular epidemiology analyses of S. haemolyticus strains isolated from hospitalized patients in Russian Federation were performed by multilocus sequence typing (MLST). However, MLST data did not confer satisfactory data about the factors contributing persistence S. haemolyticus in the hospital environment.

溶血葡萄球菌(Staphylococcus haemolyticus)正逐渐成为医院感染的新兴致病菌,目前已是血培养分离株中第二常见的凝固酶阴性葡萄球菌(coagulase-negative staphylococci, CoNS)。溶血葡萄球菌是凝固酶阴性葡萄球菌属中耐药性最强的物种。已有研究报道了医院内流行的溶血葡萄球菌克隆株以及耐药克隆的传播情况。此前,科研人员已通过多位点序列分型(multilocus sequence typing, MLST)对从俄罗斯联邦住院患者体内分离得到的溶血葡萄球菌菌株开展了分子流行病学分析。然而,MLST数据未能为解析溶血葡萄球菌在医院环境中持续存在的相关影响因素提供令人满意的依据。
