HICO is a benchmark for human-object interaction (HOI) recognition. Its key characteristics include:

2. A well-defined, perception-based list of HOI categories;
3. Exhaustive annotations for interactions that co-occur with object categories present in each image;
4. Annotations for each HOI instance, specifically human bounding boxes and object bounding boxes paired with their corresponding interaction category labels in the image.
