CircRNAs are a new class of noncoding RNA and play regulatory roles in a variety of human diseases. However, the clinical significance of circRNAs in early-onset acute myocardial infarction (AMI) remains unknown. Therefore, we sought to explore the expression profile of circRNAs in early-onset AMI. Microarray was used to screen differentially expressed circRNAs between early-onset AMI patients and matched healthy controls. Five early-onset AMI patients younger than 45 years and 5 sex- and age-matched healthy control subjects were enrolled for for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays.
