This project focuses on developing a reliable, 3D-printed test specimen that replicates the mechanical behavior of biodegradable metallic stents. By combining additive manufacturing, mechanical testing, and finite element simulations, the goal is to create a standardized and cost-effective method to evaluate stent materials and designs, improving the development process for cardiovascular implants.
Methodology:
Design novel test specimen and fabricated using additive manufacturing (AM) techniques. Tensile tests were conduced on the printed samples and in parallel, developed finite element (FE) models to simulate the mechanical response
