A murine model of antibiotic-induced microbial depletion was employed. Potentiation of serotonin activity by administration of a selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor, and inhibition of serotonin synthesis by administration of para-chlorophenylalanine were performed to study the relationship between microbial depletion and serotonin activity on intestinal epithelial proliferation
本研究采用抗生素诱导微生物耗竭的小鼠模型,通过给予选择性5-羟色胺再摄取抑制剂(selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor)增强5-羟色胺活性,并给予对氯苯丙氨酸(para-chlorophenylalanine)抑制5-羟色胺合成,以探究微生物耗竭与5-羟色胺活性对肠道上皮增殖的关联。
