The interaction with host cells is crucial in the pathogenesis of S. suis. In order to elucidate the mechanism of pathogenicity increase of S. suis epidemic ST7 strain, we compared the genome-wide transcriptional profile of S. suis epidemic ST7 strain SC84 to those of S. suis highly pathogenic ST1 strain P1/7 and S. suis intermediately pathogenic ST25 strain 89-1591 at 2h and 4h post interaction with BV2 cells. Our study deepened the understanding of the pathogenesis of epidemic ST7 strains, meanwhile provided novel approach and valuable information to control the infection of epidemic ST7 strains.
与宿主细胞的相互作用在猪链球菌(Streptococcus suis,简称S. suis)的致病过程中至关重要。为阐明猪链球菌流行株ST7(Sequence Type 7)的致病力增强机制,本研究将猪链球菌流行株ST7 SC84的全基因组转录组谱,与高致病性ST1(Sequence Type 1)株P1/7、中等致病性ST25(Sequence Type 25)株89-1591在与BV2细胞相互作用后2小时及4小时的转录组谱进行了对比分析。本研究加深了对流行株ST7致病机制的认知,同时为防控猪链球菌流行株ST7的感染提供了全新策略与宝贵参考信息。
