These observations identify SOD3 as a relevant drug target, and BNTA as a potential therapeutic agent in osteoarthritis. Overall design: Examination a disease-modifying OA drugs and its molecular target. Case: Cartilage tissues were collected from medial and lateral femoral condyles of anterior cruciate ligament transection-operated rat knee joints treated with BNTA (1.5 mg kg-1) twice a week for 4 w. Control: Cartilage tissues were collected from medial and lateral femoral condyles of anterior cruciate ligament transection-operated rat knee joints treated with normal saline (vehicle) twice a week for 4 w.

本研究结果证实,超氧化物歧化酶3(SOD3)可作为相关药物靶点,BNTA则可作为骨关节炎的潜在治疗剂。整体实验设计:考察疾病修饰性骨关节炎药物及其分子靶点。实验组:软骨组织采集自接受前交叉韧带横断术的大鼠膝关节股骨内侧髁与外侧髁,该组大鼠每周两次给予1.5 mg/kg的BNTA,持续干预4周。对照组:软骨组织采集自接受前交叉韧带横断术的大鼠膝关节股骨内侧髁与外侧髁,该组大鼠每周两次给予生理盐水(赋形剂),持续干预4周。
