Image Dataset for Textile Material Identification with Image-based Machine Learning for Mobile Digital Design Tools

This data repository used to support the publication Textile Material Identification with Image-based Machine Learning for Mobile Digital Design Tools (2025). It is dataset recorded at the Royal College of Art of 100 textile materials from the Sensory Materials Library (SML). Funded by the Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Design under the InnoHK Research Clusters, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Research Project Intelligent Design Systems for Innovation (RP2-5) at the Royal College of Art.
