Electricity generation, fuel consumption, and carbon dioxide emissions in Iranian power plants, by type of ownership

The data presented in this dataset is extracted from Iran's energy balance sheet, published annually by the Ministry of Energy in Persian. This dataset includes electricity generation (gross electric output (GWh).xlsx), fuel consumption (energy consumption (teracal).xlsx), and carbon dioxide emissions (carbon emissions (ton).xlsx) in power plants belonging to the Ministry of Energy, the private sector, and large industries (1990-2017) (1369-1396 Solar Hijri calendar). The balance sheet's data structure has changed over the past three decades, leading to a lack of proper data publication in some years. For example, from 1990 to 1992, the special production data of large industries' power plants were not separated from the medium and small industries. Therefore, due to the availability of installed capacity in these industries, the author calculated electricity generation in large industries' power plants. Besides, comparing data with Iran's Central Bank statistics has made the dataset more accurate than balance sheets.

本数据集的数据源自伊朗能源部（Ministry of Energy）每年以波斯语发布的伊朗能源平衡表。本数据集涵盖1990-2017年（对应伊朗太阳历（Solar Hijri calendar）1369-1396年）伊朗能源部所属电厂、私营电厂及大型工业电厂的三类核心统计指标：发电量（总电力产出，单位：吉瓦时（GWh），对应文件：electricity generation (gross electric output (GWh).xlsx)）、燃料消耗量（能源消耗量，单位：太卡（teracal），对应文件：fuel consumption (energy consumption (teracal).xlsx)）以及二氧化碳排放量（单位：吨，对应文件：carbon emissions (ton).xlsx）。近三十年来，该能源平衡表的数据结构历经多次调整，导致部分年份无法获取规范发布的完整数据。例如1990年至1992年，大型工业电厂的专项生产数据未与中小工业电厂的数据分离。因此，作者基于对应行业的装机容量数据，对大型工业电厂的发电量进行了推算。此外，通过与伊朗中央银行（Iran's Central Bank）的统计数据交叉验证，本数据集的准确性相较于原始平衡表数据得到了显著提升。
