Immune dysregulation is associated with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension (IPAH), and circulating antibodies to host proteins have been identified in the sera of IPAH patients. Here we used unbiased metagenomic next-generation sequencing to look at tissues from patients with IPAH andnormal controls to identify occult viral infections.
