Post-collapse laser scans of Tunstall ROC monitoring post (Friday 23 January)

This dataset documents the post-collapse condition of Tunstall Royal Observation Corps Monitoring Post. The survey was conducted using a Trimble TX8, and the site was surveyed on Friday 23 January 2026. Version 2 of this record contains a re-processed point cloud is derived from three cliff-top scan positions and four scan positions from the beach. Version 2 of this record contains updates, which were recommended as part of the formal peer-review process. We thank the reviewers for their suggestions, which led to the following changes. Version 2 changelog: A reprocessed point cloud comprising 247.7 million points from seven scan positions, that encircle the structure. The supplied point cloud is now approximately georeferenced onto the British National Grid using existing LiDAR and aerial imagery. A registration report is now available, containing details on the alignment of the seven scans (error, overlap, confidence). The manuscript where this record is comprehensively described is currently under revision in Discover Hazards (Springer-Nature).
